mRACE Education for ALS Providers

The education for the modified RACE education for ALS providers is available. The education module for mRACE is approved for 1.5 hours of continuing education. The course number is 009722.

According to the Department of Health, the mRACE assessment must be part of an agency or regional plan, since medical command physicians must be involved in the destination decisions when mRACE is used.

The educational resources that will be sent to you include:

• mRACE Score Training – powerpoint presentation with videos

• Video 1 and Video 1 – examples of cases of stroke assessment using mRACE. These are the videos embedded into the powerpoint presentation

• mRACE Quick Cases – cases of stroke for practice assessment

• mRACE Scorecard – score sheet to be used in assessing practice cases or real patients. The form was developed to accompany the transfer of care form when providing a patient report to a receiving facility

• mRACE Pocket Card – reference guide for providers
