The EHSF supports its Regional Medical Advisory Committee, which meets four times a year. The functions of the committee include:

1. Advises the Regional Medical Director on issues related to medical control and accountability.

2. Reviews and recommends proposed clinical investigations (research projects).

3. Reviews annually the Regional Protocols for the triage, treatment, transport, and transfer of patients to the most appropriate facilities.
