Regional Communications Committee

The EHSF supports its Regional Communications Committee, which meets four times a year. The functions of the committee include:

1. Evaluates the regional EMS communications system.

2. Develops and reviews emergency medical communications operating protocols for Advisory Council approval.

3. Develops the Regional Telecommunication plans for Advisory Council approval.

4. Provides a forum to discuss common communications problem issues and develop resolutions.

Prehospital Operations Committee

The EHSF supports its Regional Prehospital Operations Committee, which meets five times a year. The functions of the committee include:

1. Evaluates regional EMS system’s operational policies, with comments and suggestions forwarded to the EHSF Board of Directors.

2. Reviews the prehospital equipment policies and makes recommendations for changes.

3. Provides a forum for new ideas, and the future of EMS, such as manpower, professionalism, non-emergency tasks, and EMS Management.

Medical Advisory Committee

The EHSF supports its Regional Medical Advisory Committee, which meets four times a year. The functions of the committee include:

1. Advises the Regional Medical Director on issues related to medical control and accountability.

2. Reviews and recommends proposed clinical investigations (research projects).

3. Reviews annually the Regional Protocols for the triage, treatment, transport, and transfer of patients to the most appropriate facilities.

The EHSF supports its Regional Education Committee, which meets four times a year. The functions of the committee include:

1. Evaluate the delivery and effectiveness of our education programs and report findings to the EHSF Advisory Council.

2. Review the content of current educational programs and recommend new or revised content.

3. Development of new, creative instructional programs.

4. Trend the success and fail rates for all initial certification programs.

5. Evaluate Regional Testing Processes.
