Can an EMS Provider Work during COVID-19? That is the number one question as we work through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The EHSF would like to provide guidance for EMS agencies regarding screening of providers and management of personnel surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Each EMS agency is encouraged to develop their own polices and should consider consultation with their EMS agency medical director. Screening of EMS Providers should occur for all personnel regardless of patient contact given community spread of COVID-19 is present.
Temporary BLS Protocol 932 - No Transport for Suspected COVID-19 Patients
The Bureau of EMS released EMSIB 2020-17 Temporary Statewide BLS Non-Transport of Patients with Suspected COVID-19. This will look very similar to the EMS Triage Tool for COVID-19, we have been using in our region previously. However, there are some changes.
